Hand Type

I’m a huge fan of handwritten typography! There’s just something special and very natural that happens when good designers and typographers create type and words simply by drawing them with their hands.

So it’s always a pleasure to find work as good as Am I Collective’s hand- written typography.

A nitpick, but hand drawn letters are not “type” by definition. Once it’s not a piece of lead or film or wood that “stamps” letters, it’s not type, it’s lettering.

On a related note, here’s a list of fonts that emulate serifs rendered by hand.
