Simple. Beautiful. Creative.

My European Adventure (Mini-Sites)

Project Details

As part of the My European Adventure website, I created several mini-sites to highlight featured sections within the site. The task was simple, be as creative as possible and have fun. The results of that experiment are below.

My Travel Playlist: On this mini-site the idea was to do something creative to display the twenty-six songs I chose for the playlist - rather than just putting them in a simple table or list. To do this, one of the first things I did was create an interactive table that showed my reasoning for including that song in the playlist upon hovering over that track (See Image #2). I also included a pop-up playlist sample (via Odeo) and a link to the iMix I created within the iTunes store.

Top 30 Photos: For this mini-site the idea was simple - showcase my favorite thirty pictures from the trip in a simple and easy-to-use way. To do this I created a simple layout (three pictures a row, ten rows) and made it so when any picture was clicked on a larger pop-up of that picture would appear within the browser. A simple, beautiful and highly effective solution.

Movie-Viewing Page: This page is not really a single-page, but rather a template for viewing any videos on the site. The idea was just to create a simple and dark page that would allow the user to concentrate on the video and not be distracted by any unnecessary text or elements.
