Stiles Branding + Advertising

Project Details

Under a tight deadline and small budget, Stiles Home Improvement (a brand new general contracting company) asked me to create their identity and a limited-run advertising campaign for their local newspapers.

Stiles wanted to bring “warmth and customer service” back to general contracting. They also wanted to let their customers know that they had more than thirty-years of experience in the industry, and specialized in everything from retrofitted windows to remodels and new home additions.

From the beginning I knew the main identity of the company would come not from the logo itself, but from the photographs and taglines used with it. So I opted for a simple and flexible logo, consistingly of just the logotype on a red background.

For the advertising campaign, I came up with the idea of having a unique ad for each week of the run. Each ad would focus primarily on just one area of service. So over the duration of the run, the image and brand of Stiles would come together piece-by-piece.
